Swazi songbird, Nomalungelo Dladla is rubbing shoulders with the who’s who in the South African entertainment scene and has become a common feature on Mzansi’s red carpet.
She relocated to South Africa after the launch of her album in August and was recently spotted at the Feather Awards, mingling with SA celebrities.
The awards were attended by the likes of businessman Kenny Kunene known as ‘Sushi King’, Somizi Mhlongo, Minenhle Dlamini, Bonang Matheba , Lira, Speedy, the Da Twins, Hlelo and Ntando, Lizelle Tabane, kwaito star Kabelo and others.
Dladla walked the red carpet and posed for pictures.
A day before the Feather Awards, she featured on SABC 1’s popular Live show.
Her performance was superb.
Two weekends ago, she shared the stage with renowned South African Jazz artist Sibongile Khumalo during the Ekurhuleni Comes Alive Jazz Evening.
Early this year, she signed a deal with Exclusive Management Services (EMS), the company responsible for the marketing and distribution of her album, ‘Lilungelo Lami’ around Africa.
Swaziland National Council of Arts and Culture (SNCAC) CEO Stanley Dlamini was excited by her success, saying the council was very happy to see local artists making it big in the South African music scene.
“She is making us proud and we wish her all the best,” he said.
He further noted that she was following in the footsteps of ‘Bholoja’, Pastor Bakhe and a number of artists who have also left a mark in South Africa.
