‘Burb queens ‘n all sorts of other oddities

ALWAYS HAPPY: Leanne and Sipho are icons of togetherness

AWOL: Unathi’s fairy godmom

ASTONISHING: Mo Magic the Magician awed us all

It always pleases me when women treat each other with respect.

This was evident at the launch of Bliss in Milpark on Tuesday when 26-year-old Katleho Tsoku opened a Lifestyle Lounge and her female friends were there to support her.

Well, she calls it a lounge. I’m sure it’s really a shebeen in the suburbs.

Maybe having a Japanese chef making sushi makes it a lounge.

I liked it anyway, but let’s chat about the launch, which had a band, a table full of very quiet reserved men, another with suspicious good looking guys in suits and the rest of the happy folk.

  • Hoped to see Ryan Botha as he is always at Farah Fortune’s parties but, alas, the sexy white boy was nowhere to be seen.

This is why I hate it when men get married. They get selfish.

  • Vanessa Coutroulis, who used to be Miss SA, was also on the guest list but we didn’t see her and we would have as she’s as tall as a baby giraffe.

  • On the shorter side of things, we did spot YFM traffic presenter Eda Rose in some snazzy ‘n sexy outfit.

Miss Rose who’s been linked to Kenny Kunene, was in a strange mood, telling TV crews she had no comment when asked a question about Kunene. But she got upset and was overheard saying: “I’d never sleep with that idiot. Of course it is all lies.”

    Wow. Now you know, Kenny.

Unathi Msengana was the MC and looked bright and ready for summer in some pumpkin-inspired frock.

  • Clint Brink was his usual sexy self and unfortunately, as usual, showed no interest in Shwashwi.

This time his excuse was that he is on a diet.

Trust me, I don’t know what that means.

  • We hear Minnie Dlamini is now acting in M-Net soapie The Wild and we are proud of you, sweetie.

  • Nice to see Leanne and Sipho Dlamini looking happy as usual in some corner.

Unlike Sashi Naidoo, who is divorcing her man for weird reasons, these two are still in bliss.

  • Oh, we were also excited to hear folk talking about Vuyo Mbuli’s plan to bring R&B superstar Musiq Soulchild to South Africa on Saturday, November 19.

Yippee! More choices for us singles.

  • After listening to hot DJs avoiding loud isiXhosa women and playing with my food, it was off to another dooh as some of us have no lives or food at home.

Nice function, guys, and well done young Katleho.

    Girl power rules!
